Changing motorcycle throttle?

OK so I rode a 750 a couple days ago, and found either my hand is too small, or I'm not gripping the throttle correctly, because when I squeezed the break I also revved the throttle alot, and eventually wound up laying the bike down. So what I want to do is change the throttle to something controlled by my thumb like on a 4 wheeler? If it is possible how hard would that be to do? If not, what could I do? Thanks!
