Should I get the Honda TRX400X Four Wheeler?

This will be my first four wheeler. I have only ridden a few times, but know how to use a manual transmission. Anyway, my friend was helping me look. He said not to go below 300, and if I get a 300 it would be ok but when I get good I would be bored with it. I live in Pennslyvania, so it is a good place to ride. Anyway, If I would be buying this, I would buy the 2012 TRX400X, ( I would get it for christmas ) So would this be a good beginner quad? When i get good, will I still have fun with it? And a side question, I know liek on the Honda website, you can pay over time. Like, 400-500 dollars a month. Well, If I went to a Honda Dealership and bought one there, would I be able to set something like that?
