How did the Olsen sisters become fashion moguls?

They are always on worst dressed lists. Do they own mirrors? They never smile for photos, like Victoria Beckham. Their clothes are rarely cute or attractive, they look like unhappy bag ladies. I know they have videos and other things, but who decided to let them produce fashion?
